We’re ready to expand to running 300 camps

Under xx% of young people attend church in Hungary. The task is huge and the opportunities plentiful. Many Hungarian churches would like us to partner with them and we are at capacity for our part time work. It is no surprise that for some time the idea has been to develop a residential site to run camps and assist in training up youth leaders in Hungary.

A residential camp site and full-time worker would mean we could…

Run over 300 camps
Provide opportunities for 10,000 teenageers to hear the gospel
Develop our church-based Discipleship Training Camps
Provide a gap-year opportunity for Christians from the UK

After 10 years of praying, dreaming and running over 44 camps in Hungary at various locations we’ve finally found an exciting and suitable site.

"Acorn Camps have been running camps with our church for nearly ten years. The effects of both the teenage camps and also the discipleship training camps is that young people have both captured the vision for running camps and have been given the tools to effectively teach the bible. The combination has resulted in our church being able to develop and run camps with other Hungarian Churches in Slovakia. Their work is both encouraging and vital to the growth of the Hungarian Churches."
